Torment in the Sky
We arrived here in lovely Thailand yesterday and I can honestly say, that this was the worst flight I've ever been on. Yes, even worse than the time when we had to crash land in Finland.
In restrospect, that tour is looking more and more pleasant in comparison to this one on TUI Airways. For the first, this flight was two hours late in taking off. Then, once we were airbound, they told us it would be an extra two hours because they had to fly around a tropical cyclone. These were problems we could have dealt with but to add insult to injury, it wasn't long after we took off that I realized they had placed us in the idiot section.
Between the full grown woman hanging over our seats, dangling her feet every which way and constantly blocking the hallway and the near fist fight between the gentlemen (I use that term loosely) beside us, it was just a nightmare.
The service was fine but I think the flight attendant was in a bit of shock when all four in our row, laughed in disbelief when she said it would cost 60 Dkr each for earphones and we promptly handed them back to her.
The flight took eleven hours too long in this crowded, small spaced little tin can flight. Funny thing is if we would have booked for the day before we would have been sitting on a much more comfortable Thai Airways flight with plenty of leg room..Next time...Anyhow, that was then and this is now and we plan on enjoying our vacation to the fullest.
