I'm Leavin' on a Jet Plane

perfect4.jpgBut I do know when I'll be back again and that will be in about two weeks. I've just finished packing, arranging, unpacking and then packing again. I always have too many sweaters with, a real necessity in smouldering 32 Celsius (90 degree Fahrenheit) weather. I guess one could say that I'm not a very ...

Denmark loves Willie Nelson

I went for a drive with my mother-in-law the other day. We were talking about the talented musicians who will be blessing Denmark with their presence over the next few months. I blogged about this earlier, but I said, "I'd beg, borrow, cheat and steal to be able to see the legendary Country singer Willie Nelson live, but won't be in the country while he's here."

We'll be in Thailand. Perhaps, Willie will ...

A Night at the Ballet with Onegin

We had a wonderful time at the ballet last night. We went to see "Onegin," by John Cranko at The Royal Danish Theatre. Yes, it was an exciting night at the ballet in more ways than one. We were about to be on our merry way when we realized that we had no tickets, a minor detail that we chose to forget. Anyhow, it was no problem as they were ...

Tiptoe Through the Tulips

Tip Toe through the TulipsWhat a lovely day again today, another beautiful day in the neighbourhood here in Denmark. It has been really nice weather, as of late. The trees are coming alive and some flowers are even in bloom, which means lots of pollen floating around. This isn't good news for more than a million hay fever sufferers in this country, including myself, but hey that's ...

An Apple a Day Doesn't...

"It is a beautiful day in the neighbourhood," as Mr. Rogers, the host of a popular children's program, used to say. Sunny skies, green grass, fresh air and birds singing their merry little tunes. What more could a person ask for? I actually ventured outside today in a t-shirt, sandals and no socks, oh the risk-factor of it all. It was only as far as the mailbox, though, a mere ...

Willie Nelson in Copenhagen

The One and Only Willie Nelson  Well, we're throwing a little party today, a belated birthday bash if you will, and I'm expecting the moon and the stars in the form of gifts. No, that's not true, I'm only hoping for one, a new camera. We'll see if the powers that be decide if I've been naughty or nice, otherwise I'll just use my older, tried but ...

Hats Galore

Excuse moi for not blogging as of late but the computer has been acting a little crazy, daisy. That combined with a bout of the flu hasn't made for a pleasant past few days. I try to eat right and wear a hat when I'm outside in the cold, but still manage to catch the latest flu fad. Better now, than when we're in Thailand, I say.

Since we are on ...

Happiness is a Passport

Yippee! The Canadian Embassy in Copenhagen must be the best, most efficient Embassy in the entire world! I am simply so thrilled today because I received my passport and all of my identification via registered mail. It's just a shock, in a positive way and I am singing their praises because it took them only one week to sign, seal and deliver it all unharmed to moi.

My husband had said ...

Party for Planet Earth

This blogging gig is not as easy as it looks. One starts off hoping to write about fascinating, earth shattering topics and by the end of it all, the most interesting topic one can come up with is "taking out the trash."

Sometimes it's difficult to find a topic that gives any meaning at all, but the following one awoke my interest. If you happen to be in Copenhagen tonight and would like ...

Identityless

Well, I have started to pack for my trip to Thailand. You see, I have faith in the Canadian Embassy and feel in my heart of hearts that my passport problems will be sorted out. All documents and photos will be accepted and completed on time and all will be well in the world again. Next time, I'll start the process much earlier, many, many months ahead of schedule although I don't ...
