Happiness Is 2900
Well, I just got back from working on a TV series this morning. Maybe working is the wrong word because I like to do it once in awhile just to get me out and about. The series is a TV 3 series called Happiness 2900. It's sort of a Dallas meets Dynasty type of night time soap opera that takes place in the rather affluent area known as Hellerup, located just north of Copenhagen. The show tracks the scandalous activities of residents of the area but primarily concentrates on two families whose lives are intertwined. The postal code of this area just happens to be 2900, thus the name "Happiness 2900." Pretty smart huh?
Of course, I got lost on the way to the set. I had to ask a lady for directions. She was very helpful and I made it just in time but we had to wait an hour or so as they were waiting for some equipment to arrive, I believe. I think that's why, oh I am not sure, don't quote me on that. So, anyhow some of us escaped the rain by going over to the local shopping centre and hung out.
Without giving too much away, with regards to the scenes we took today, lets just say that they involved romance, intrigue and mystery all wound up into two scenes. Nah, that's a real exaggeration, there was no romance at all. I can say this, that it was rather exciting and confrontational, let's just put it that way. Today's scene involved a police car, a near escape and some very over anxious journalists and spectators. Ok, that was about as clear is mud but it's about all I'll say on the matter besides the fact that the scenes involved Danish actor David Owe, who plays the role of nasty Kevin on the show. In reality, he doesn't seem nasty at all, so he's doing a good job. Anyhow, here's a link in Danish, if you are interested in knowing more about the show .
