Passport Predicament
Good day to everyone or anyone reading this blog. I haven't blogged in a few days and I can't blame hacked, uncooperative e-mail accounts this time. I just haven't blogged, that's my story and I am sticking to it.
I have to renew my passport, really looking forward to it, oh joy oh bliss...not! I still have my Canadian passport and last time I renewed it, it was such a headache. I'd sent the application in three times and each time it was rejected... The photographs I sent apparently, just weren't up to snuff. Can't smile, can't wear a hat, can't jump up and down, can't be creative in any way shape or form, can't, can't.
I started the entire painful procedure by going to one of the automatic photo booths marked "passport photos." I thought great, what an easy and quick solution to an unavoidable passport problem, but no, the photos have to be completed by a professional photographer in the correct dimensions.
Then a Guarantor/appropriate person is required to sign the back of one of the photos. Of course there is not enough room on the back of the photo to write the long blurb they require, plus the signature by an appropriate person. When I say appropriate person I mean someone who has known me for at least two years, who also happens to be a doctor, dentist or other professional.
I dropped my dentist who signed my passport application last time. Looks like what goes around comes around because I'll have to get back in his good graces again. I need to pay a visit to a dentist anyhow, but I also need his signature for my passport. I guess I'll have to beg for forgiveness. I must, or it means no passport, which means no vacation and everyone needs a vacation especially after the passport application process.
