Springsteen, Studying and Other S Things
I'm currently working on two papers/reports at the same time. One has to do with family patterns and some people's interpretation of the old saying, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." My paper will probably be aptly titled "the apple doesn't fall far from the woods," if you get my drift. So that's kind of where I am going with that.
The other paper has something to do with narrative psychology and globalization. The latter is really becoming a thorn in my side. It's a mishmash of I don't know what. I work on it from 7:00 a.m. 'til noon every other day. That's about all I can stand before everything starts to look blurry and confusing. I've been reading many books, most of which have little to do with my subject (Eurowoman,The National Enquirer etc.). I have to keep asking myself, what does this have to do with your project? In other words, I don't really have any focus as of yet but hopefully it will come to me like "a stranger in the night"...
Like I said before, I am going to a party in Sweden this weekend. I'm really looking forward to that just to escape the drudgery of everyday; typing, staring and reading until my head is ready to explode. Sweden will hopefully provide the recharge that I need. My problem is I can't stay on track, which brings me around to this blog which is supposed to be about Copenhagen yes?
Before you read the rest of this I have to warn you that the tickets are sold out but I feel obliged to tell you about it anyhow. The American Rock Legend Bruce Springsteen(aka The Boss) and his E-Street Band are performing in Copenhagen this weekend on Saturday the 8th of December. Last time he was here he received tons of praise from the local media for his fantastic performance. This time he's playing at:
Forum Copenhagen, Julius Thomsens Plads, 1925 Frederiksberg.
If you fancy yourself as the slightly stalkerish type and have nothing planned then perhaps you and yours could hang about at the Forum. Hey, you might even catch a glimpse of the Boss, be able to take a photo, maybe even do a little "dancing in the dark?"
