Copenhagen Christmas Parties
Well, I'm having a bit of a mental breakdown so I thought I'd take a break from my non-stop reading and write my blog. Afterwards I'll be going for a walk to the library to pick up more books. Would you like to know what I ate for breakfast? I suspect not, so I'll quit dancing around the subject and get straight to the point.
Last week, I think..( the weeks are starting to collide into each other) I wrote about going to the Book Forum. I picked up(stole) a few brochures while I was there. One was about upcoming parties happening around Copenhagen in celebration of Xmas. One of these upcoming events is called the Bella Notte Julegalla 2007 which takes place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen.
There are a variety of well known, yet very different musical artists playing including Denmark's own rock mamma Sanne Salomsen. For those of you who are not familiar with her music I could compare her with the likes of Alannah Myles(for the Canadian readers) or Melissa Etheridge(for the American readers).
For you rap fans Nik & Jay will be performing. One of their most popular and contagious (some say slightly forward) songs is a little ditty called "Lækker," which means "hot." It goes a little something like this...."Du er så lækkert, lækkert, lækkert.." I can't get that song out of my head . Now I'll be singing it all day. Anyhow, if you or anyone you know are interested it all happens here:
