Christmas Dreams, Copenhagen Style

I'm currently working on a project about globalization and another interesting one about negative family patterns. I'm not sure how these projects are going to end up as they are both looking rather chaotic and non-sensical at the moment. I have been working hard this last week trying to figure out what my point is with both of them which has meant reading, writing and arithmetic. Well, arithmetic as in how many hours a day I wish to use on these projects before I toss the computer, throw up my hands and say, "Jeg gider ikke mere," which means I don't want to do this any more...

I have to get this done before Christmas or I'm going to fail. I don't like to use the word fail. If I fail it's just a stumbling block or a minor glitch in the road as they say. I have to try though. Thank goodness for that inspirational book back in grade one. You know the one about the choo choo train? I think I can, I think I can, I know I can but if I can't I can try again. (I changed it a bit)

Anyhow, if I don't do the work I am not going to succeed in completing this in time or correctly so I just have to bear down and not get distracted by anything else. So last night I had a dream. I was walking through a town, stepped into a puddle and ended up sinking so my head was barely staying afloat. A couple of stray dogs came to greet me but I didn't know if they were friend or foe. I then woke up. I don't know what this all means, perhaps I feel like I'm drowning or need to get out and get some fresh air!

Speaking of which, Xmas is in the air and over the next two weekends there will be opportunities to enjoy outdoor Xmas markets and engage in the local traditional festivities in and around Copenhagen.

Klampenborg Galopbane for instance, is known as one of Northern Europe's most beautiful horse racetracks but over the next few weekends it will be transformed into a Xmas wonderland. There won't be any racing though and the race horses will be tucked away in their stalls. There will be horse driven carriage rides for all and pony rides available for the children. The old buildings are decorated accordingly in celebration of the season and traditional snacks like apple slivers and "gløgg," (a warm drink mixed with nuts, raisons & other delicious things) will be provided. Enjoy.
