You Get What You Pay For
There was an election last night here in Denmark. Not much new to report though. Like it or lump it, Anders Fogh Rasmussen and his Liberal Party are back in office. Kudos to them though. They ran a successful election campaign that focused on welfare, immigration and promises of tax cuts.
As for me, today started off with a bang and inevitable computer problems. I wasn't sure if it was a virus (again) or just a problem with the websites I was trying to access. I was desperate to log into my free e-mail account..
I've had it with those "freebie" email accounts to be honest, but I have one (I mean five) and I had to access it today because there was some important information in it. I was nervous that my account was hacked (yet again) but it was just a problem with their server. One of my other free e-mail accounts was hacked 6 months ago and I never did get it back.
Foolishly, I opted to open another free email account. My husband, the IT guy asked me why I insist on opening these insecure, unreliable e-mail accounts? The answer my friend is blowing in the wind... In other words "I don't know." I can't get it together to consolidate them all into one legitimate e-mail account I suppose? Or perhaps I have a secret wish to experience the drama of identity theft.
Now, 6 hours later I can finally log in. I had to retrieve directions to a tv series I'm helping out with tomorrow. At first glance, it looked to me like they will be filming in the boonsticks somewhere. They will be filming from 4:00 pm. To 10:00 p.m. or so. In other words, they wrap things up when it is very dark outside.
I was nervous I'd have to walk blindly to the nearest train station in the dark. I'm bad with directions when the sun is shining. Last time I found myself in the same predicament I ran into some hooligans and they and I were the only people at a fairly remote train station.
It was a group of 5 kids. I guess it's not appropriate to assume they were hooligans just because they were a group of kids who looked a certain way. "Just because it walks and talks like a duck doesn't necessarily mean it is a duck."You can't judge a book by its cover and all that jazz.
Anyhow, they probably weren't hooligans at all but that's not the point. I just kept thinking to myself this is so unsafe and unwise for me to be standing here all alone. I vowed not to put myself in such a predicament again. I've been assured that the film set is close to the subway so hopefully there will be a lot of law biding citizens out and about. We'll see how it goes.
