Choices and Challenges in Copenhagen
Sometimes in life it is either feast or famine, or in other words when it rains it pours. I have been offered some possibilities but I do not wish to mention what they are before and if they come to fruition. I'm just not counting my eggs before they are hatched as they say.
Someone once said to me,"why is it that sometimes what you want most in this life is not what you get?" I don't know what the answer to that question is but the truth is I am not sure what I really want most of the time. I like many people, definitely know what I don't want though, so that is a step in the right direction I would say.
Sometimes you have no control over what happens in your life but one thing people do have control over for the most part is who they elect into office. In a few days here in Denmark, many people will set a cross on an election ballot and vote for who they think should run the country. If you have a passion for politics there are various arrangements around the country where you can participate.
Tonight there is an arrangement for the young people at Copenhagen's University where they will be discussing the environment, education and general political questions. This event takes place at Copenhagen's University, Frue Plads, Copenhagen, Friday 9, Nov. from 15-17 p.m. - Entre is free. For more information go to www.virtuel.ku.dk.
If after that arrangement you feel the need to discuss politics further or just life in general then head on over to Grønjordskollegiet, Grønjordsvej 1-5, Copenhagen for a beer, laugh or in-depth discussion. It all happens tonight, Friday 9th November 22:00 p.m. (Free entre).
