Travel,Trials and Tribulations
I've been back from Canada for almost a week and am just starting to get back into the swing of things. I've just been reminiscing though. I am over the aching muscles I endured from my little vacation. (more on that later)
The flight to Canada was pretty uneventful other than the plane was a little late arriving at London's Heathrow. This was a good thing because it meant there was almost no wait time for the connecting flight to Canada. The trip over to Canada was pretty comfortable for the most part as I had two seats to myself on the plane. That meant I could sleep.
On the way back to Copenhagen it was a whole other ball of wax. We were crammed in like sardines. All of us passengers had our own fancy, dancy little entertainment centre with plenty of options but it took about an hour for some of us to figure out how to use it. When it finally was an all go, I chose the movie "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" starring Johnny Depp. The reason being was because it was Halloween and I was feeling the spirit of it all. The film started and stopped about five times though, enough to send a hardcore JD fan like myself postal. (Note to Air Canada get that fixed)
Dinner was served and with it came the usual conflicts of my space, your space, we all want some more place, please move your seat forward so I can eat! Of course when I politely asked the woman ahead of me to move her seat forward while we ate, she proceeded to tell me that the passenger ahead of her had his seat so far back in the recline position so she couldn't eat. The reclining seat thing has a real domino effect people!
Once we arrived in London, we had to wait nearly four hours for our connecting flight to Copenhagen. I was sitting beside a crying baby. She was cute and couldn't help it I suppose but it meant napping was an impossibility. I wasn't picked up at the airport so I had to take my can't kill it, Samsonite luggage on the train and for the last leg of the trip for a stroll in the woods. Thus the photo. That is the stairs I had to crawl up with 51 pounds of luggage in order to make it home. It's a great form of exercise you might want to give it a try if you wish to build up some semi-strong arm muscles.
