Across the Pond

Greetings from beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario in Canada. This is my hometown and it's still as lovely as ever. In fact, it's getting lovelier by the day. It seems that every time I come there are more and more vineyards, visitors and spas.

Sorry, if I've been a little AWOL from the blog thing. I arrived at Toronto International Airport on Wednesday and have had jet lag ever since. It all started out ok but I almost missed my flight from Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen. You see, there are two gate D104's, the right one and the wrong one. Another passenger and I chose the latter. I know it's the off season but I didn't think that there could just be two people on the flight? That doesn't make much business sense.  Anyhow, a helpful employee redirected us to the correct gate and we arrived in good time and all was well in the world.

We had a connecting flight at Heathrow in London. Security is tight there. Did you know that their security check even requires you to remove your shoes? (Note to self, no laced up boots next time). Anyhow, the Air Canada flight to Pearson International was good and we had lots of elbow room as the airplane wasn't completely filled to capacity. I had two seats to myself and managed to sleep a bit. Well, that's about it. I'm off to Tim Hortons (a popular Canadian coffee and fresh baked goods chain) for a cup of coffee and a bagel.
