Happy Birthday to you
Denmark's most abused, viewed, famous and loved little lady is celebrating a little something special today. The Little Mermaid is 94 years young today and the happy occasion will be celebrated with a brass band, story telling, balloons and a whole lot of people from every corner of the country diving into the refreshing, albeit cold water. It's the fifth year in a row that "Wonderful Copenhagen" has recognized the Little Mermaid's birthday. It all starts at 15:00 p.m. today (Thursday) Langelinie, 1263 Copenhagen with a parade arriving at 15.40 p.m. At around 16:00 p.m. the brass band begins to play and coincides with the arrival of the brave swimmers.
