Butt Out
Since the 15th of August smoking has been prohibited at restaurants, cafes and bars in Denmark. As a non-smoker, the new rule suits me fine because I literally get physically ill when I'm exposed to cigarette smoke. The symptoms include, but are not limited to sore throat, headache, runny eyes etc. Call it a weak immune system or whatever, I just can't take it.
However, some people can take it and enjoy a fag every now and then. There are a few establishments in Denmark that can get around the no smoking rules if the serving area is less than 40m2. In that case the owner can decide if the customers are allowed to smoke or not. According to aok.dk there are at least seven known establishments in Copenhagen that still allow customers to smoke. So for those of you who enjoy a puff now and again check out these spots.
