Rain Rain Go Away
There have been plenty of events happening in Copenhagen and the surrounding areas over the weekend. For the first, Denmark's new little princess has received an official name, "Isabella." Not many people bet their bottom dollar on that choice although it is a very pretty name.
The sold out Roskilde Festival will be in full swing soon even though the weather is slated to be a bit dotty. As per usual there is music for every taste. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Klaxons, Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Denmark's own Nephew are just a few of the acts.
The weather hasn't been ideal. In fact it looks like it will be a little overcast the entire day. A perfect day to head to the movie theatre. If you'd like to check out a Danish film why not see "Vikaren." It stars Paprika Steen, Jonas Wandschneider and Ulrich Thomsen. It's a thriller-comedy about a substitute teacher in a public school who is very ambitious yet a little nutty nuts. She's training her students for an international competition that will take place in Paris. This teacher isn't your ordinary, everyday, average teacher. She is a little on the strange side, very intuitive and can be down right cruel at times. She can even read her students minds.
The students complain over her methods and attitude and actually insist that she is an evil alien from another planet but the charming and manipulative teacher convinces all parents that she has only the student's best interests at heart and that she is an excellent teacher.
