Cushy, Cop-Out Camping

Our camping spot at Camping Marina di Venezia Like I said in yesterday’s post we’ve just recently returned from a fabulous trip to Venice, Italy. It’s always lovely. I adore much of Italy, especially Venice. For the last few years we’ve taken European road trips where they were a combination camping/hotel tours. I much prefer the latter but camping also has its charm (sometimes). We’ve ...

Crummy Camping

I was kind of feeling bummed out the other day. I don’t really know why, just was. I think it has something to do with our summer vacation going by so quickly. Like I said before, earlier this month we drove down to fantastical Venice, Italy and stayed there for about a week. This is the third time we’ve ended up camping in Venice. No sorry that’s a lie, it’s ...

Grand Avenue, Copenhagen

If you happen to be in Copenhagen this evening, don't be discouraged by the grey skies. Head on over to Tivoli Gardens and check out the music scene. You'll enjoy the talented and popular Danish band "Grand Avenue" and they will be performing tonight.

Although they definitely have their own style if you are a fan of U2 you'll enjoy the talented and popular Danish band. Their latest album is actually produced ...

I Know What You Did This Summer

Say What?

I mentioned in an earlier post the havoc that "Toll Toilets" cause. We hardly took any pics on our recent trip through Europe but I was rummaging through them today (all ten) and came across this one. You can barely see the guy in the background (not that you're likely interested in a closeup anyhow) but it looks like he gave up on finding suitable bathroom ...

Public Enemy Numero Uno

I've been reminiscing about our little road trip through Europe. We've done this before in one shape or another and it usually takes us a day to get to Italy. This time it actually took quite a bit longer than it usually does. When we'd finally made it to our "destination anywhere," which was Venice it was two days on. We'd been making our way slowly but surely through Europe ...

Takin' the Road out of Road Trip

The hills are alive with the sound of vehiclesWe just returned from our road trip through Europe. I didn't end up blogging for a variety of different reasons, one big one being the labtop died, god rest its soul. Our destination ended up being Venice not like we planned because we thought we'd make it down to France but it didn't work out that way. ...

Toilet Toll

Our trip is off to a late start. We planned on leaving at around 3 a.m. on Friday the 13th but superstition aside, the gods must have been telling us something because we didn't get away until about 8 p.m. We overslept and then a bunch of other circumstances occurred that prohibited us from getting on with the road trip. Everything happens for a reason I suppose. I don't know ...

On the Road Again

I think I’m heading for France and/or Italy tomorrow for some days. We’re just driving, destination anywhere but we’re pretty sure we’ll be driving through Germany and Austria. Sometimes not knowing the destination is the best medicine. I’ll be bringing my handy dandy camera, computer and a positive attitude.

We might be doing some camping. I have mixed feelings about it because last time we camped it rained cats and dogs ...

Copenhagen Jazz Festival

The Roskilde Music Festival is finished but that doesn't mean that the music has died. For all of you jazz fans out there, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival is in full swing and will run until Sunday July 15th. Today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. there's even "Jazz for Kids," at Rødovre Musikskole and at 11:00 a.m at "Det Kongelige Danske Haveselskab." For the adults Kurt Elling will be performing at ...

My Celebrity Look-Alike?

Do I look like her?Do I really resemble him? If you happen to be an avid internet surfer, surely you have stumbled onto this celebrity look-alikes page. Not being one who likes to be left out in the cold, I thought I'd check it all out. If you don't already know you can upload your pics and then the computer does some sort ...
