Sitting by the "Docken" the Bay in Copenhagen
The weather gods have promised us a hot summer and it feels like another scorcher today at 28° C. If you are going to be in Copenhagen in the near future and are looking for an easy, breezy place to relax and enjoy a cool drink, consider heading to a newly opened - June 9th to be exact - bar/restaurant known as “Docken.” Surrounded by sand and breathtaking views over Øresund (aka The Sound) and Sweden, this trendy new hangout has room for up to 2,500 guests. it is located in the old industry district.
Try their no fuss home cooking and a la carte menu. Once summer really kicks in they will be introducing a buffet inspired by South American cuisine. Watch soccer on the huge screen and listen to live music. Eventually, they will be providing theatre performances, concerts and dinner opera. Some of these events will be free while others will have cover charges.
There’s outdoor service, a bar and a café & they do take credit cards as well as cash. Price for 3 course meal is around 225 Dkr.
Getting there. It takes about 40 minutes with bus 26 north to Færgehavnsvej from Copenhagen’s Central Station.
