U.S. Air Guytar
I just read about the US Air Guitar Championships that were held in Washington, D.C. the other day. So, being the big air guitar fan that I am - mainly because I can't play a lick - I went to their site and took a look at all the winners over the past years. Uggh! It left me with sigh of disbelief and an all important question. Where are the ladies for rock sakes? I read the rules and it doesn't look like women are excluded? The past winners list is filled with Michaels, Randys and Daves. Where are the Michelles, Rhondas and Donnas?
Perhaps most women think that it's a mindless, waste of time reserved for immature, irresponsible people who don't want to grow up. Well, put me in that category because I don't know about you, but it looks like a fun contest. You even get to pick your own stage name and dress up like a wannabe rock star. The icing on the cake is you could possibly win the U.S. Finals and receive a thousand dollar prize and a free trip to Finland to compete in the "Air Guitar World Championships!"
This is how you enter. Go to their site http://www.usairguitar.com/
1. Pick your stage name
2. Click on the city you want to compete
3. Pay $20 fee and follow registration instructions
4. Prepare your 60-second song
5. Prepare your winning routine
