The Perfect Elephant
We just arrived back from Phuket, Thailand this morning. I'd love to say it was a wonderful flight but there was too much waiting time at the airport in Bangkok. We must have gone through four security checks and waited hours and hours. Nonetheless, we arrived home safe and sound.
I just wanted to upload a few pics. I pushed all of my boundaries on this trip. I'd never touched an elephant before but gosh darnit on this trip I fed one, kissed one, hugged one and risked life and limb by riding one through the jungle. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life, to date and I can't wait to do it again. Our elephant's name in Thai is "Samboon," which means "Perfect," and she is 35 years old.
In my next post, I'll give you all of the information you need to go on this expedition which also includes a guide, canoe trip, a light meal and beverages. Right now, I'm going to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzz's.
