Hello From Terrific Thailand!
First, I will say excuse me for any typing errors in advance. There's no spell check here, the internet connection is slow and I am typing this in a rush. Aw, excuses, excuses, excuses. I'm just sitting at the dentist's office in Phuket, Thailand waiting for my appointment. It's a good thing we made our dentist appointments early in the week because since we arrived it's mostly rained. Nonetheless, we've been spending a lot of time walking along the beach and swimming at the hotel's swimming pool.
I've never really tried Thai food before but we've been eating loads of it here and it's very tasty and spicy, not to mention healthy, consisting of a lot of vegetables and fish. Also, at breakfast this morning we tried their "ginger drink" and you guessed it, it tastes like ginger.
Later this week we're heading over to Phi-Phi Island. We just heard from the taxi driver that this island was worst hit by the Tsunami of 2004. I'm not seeing any remnants of the Tsunami near or around the hotel we're staying at. We're staying at Karon Beach, a nice quiet area with vacationers from all over the globe. So far we've seen British, Swedish, Australian, you name it.
