Sunglasses - Quality vs. Quantity

Inexpensive sunglasses - Are they worth the risk?Summer is just around the corner. It's time to break out the bathing trunks, suntan oil.....rrrr.. I mean sunscreen factor 8,000 and the coolest sunglasses you can find. I've been around the block when it comes to sunglasses and unfortunately, I've invested in plenty of lemons. Case in point, the ones I'm wearing in the photo there. In Denmark I purchased ...

A Hotel with a View

A Room With A View
While in Phuket, Thailand we had the pleasure of staying at the Karon Beach Resort. This cosy and quiet hotel is nestled in a small cove in the southern corner of Karon Beach.  It is the only hotel located directly on the beach in the area. Set among coconut palms, the beachfront property is fanned by gentle sea breezes. Great views from spacious, air-conditioned rooms ...

Island Safari

One Tusk

I promised to give up the info for the Elephant Trekking Tour and here it is. There are different variations of it. We took the one day tour that included elephant trekking to a tropical waterfall and the jungle canoe trip. It included beverages, a Thai lunch and light snacks. Because we had to wait because the elephant delivery truck broke down, we even received ...

The Perfect Elephant

Me and My Elephant Friend Perfect and Her Trainer

We just arrived back from Phuket, Thailand this morning. I'd love to say it was a wonderful flight but there was too much waiting time at the airport in Bangkok. We must have gone through four security checks and waited hours and hours. Nonetheless, we arrived home safe and sound.

I just wanted to upload ...

Phuket Fanta Sea

We're leaving for Copenhagen tomorrow and as I said before we've had an amazing time. So far we've made it without a scratch except for almost being clobbered over the head by a flying umbrella whilst swimming in the pool.

The other night we went to see "Fanta Sea ," a fantastical broadway like production. It is named as Thailand's best attraction with elephants, acrobats, exquisite costumes and an impressive laser ...

Tail End of Thailand Tour

Greetings from Thailand. I'll make this quick because it took 2 hours to log on and I'm afraid the battery is running dead on this laptop. So far, we've had a wonderful time in Thailand. It's been one of the best vacations ever for us anyhow. We're really sad that it has to end. In the past few days we've done many exciting things. One of the most exciting was ...

Tanning in Thailand

Greetings from Thailand again! I am just at the dentist's office for the last time. We've both had loads of dental work done and I can recommend this dentist without a doubt. He is extremely professional and as sweet as pie. If you want to check him out for yourself, go to www.phuketdental.com.  There you will find most of the information you need, including prices and services.

Other than spending a ...

Hello From Terrific Thailand!

First, I will say excuse me for any typing errors in advance. There's no spell check here, the internet connection is slow and I am typing this in a rush. Aw, excuses, excuses, excuses. I'm just sitting at the dentist's office in Phuket, Thailand waiting for my appointment. It's a good thing we made our dentist appointments early in the week because since we arrived it's mostly rained. Nonetheless, ...

Killed by a Kitty Cat

I just read about a 32 year old woman who was mauled to death by a tiger. Apparently, the entire event was witnessed by several children, including one of her own at an exotic animal farm called "100 Mile House," in British Columbia, Canada. Reportedly, Tanya Dumstrey-Soos, who worked at the farm as a receptionist was taken to a hospital after the attack late Thursday, but ...

I Know Your Password

Sorry I haven't been blogging so much. I have been super busy but it should start to taper off very soon. I can't believe it is Friday. Time sure flies when you are not having fun. To make matters worse my e-mail has been hacked! I don't know if this has ever happened to you but it sure is a creepy feeling. Not only has it affected my yahoo e-mail ...
