Booze and Boobs Don't Mix
Ever since I heard about pretty, pop princess Kylie Minogue's battle with breast cancer, I've been trying to avoid anything and everything which could increase the chances of being struck with the dreadful disease. Instead, I've been eating right, exercising, getting examinations etc.
I read some good news from a recent U.S. study that proved that abortions and miscarriages do not raise the risk of breast cancer, contrary to popular belief. But according to a recent Danish study - published by politiken.dk -indications are that too many alcoholic drinks over a short period of time can increase the risk of breast cancer by 55%.
The study which followed 17,000 Danish nurses drinking habits showed that the more frequently you drink, the higher the risk of breast cancer. If you, for example have more than 22 alcoholic drinks a week, then the risk of cancer grows by 130%, - not to mention your risk of being sent to rehab!
