Fake and Famous Phonies in Copenhagen
Well, fake in the sense that they aren't real but the waxy sort. Ofcourse, I'm talking about Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum. Located beside Tivoli Gardens, this famous museum has been going strong in Copenhagen since 1974. Filled with celebrities, royalty and politicians from around the world, visiting this museum provides a fun way of seeing our famous friends up close and personal.
The planning and work that goes into these unique wax figures is incredibly painstaking and detailed. Did you know that each wax figure is rumoured to cost about $200,000 to make, takes 3 months and they use genuine human hair? If you are interested in visiting Madame Tussauds in Copenhagen, it's probably a good idea to do so in the near future as there are talks of a hotel eventually replacing this beloved museum.
