A Murder in Copenhagen
There is something rotten in the State of Denmark these days. A story of mystery, intrigue and murder is captivating the nation. Forbrydelsen, which translated to English means "The Crime," is a TV series which revolves around a middle-class family who live in Copenhagen. They are in the midst of planning to relocate when the parent's worst nightmare is realised. Their 19 year old daughter is found assaulted and left for dead.
Meanwhile, a well known politician is deeply entrenched in his election campaign. Eventually, these stories become intertwined when the police begin a murder investigation and the hunt for the murderer begins. As the murder investigation intensifies people from all walks of life are drawn into the story.
This highly acclaimed murder mystery airs on DR1 and showcases some of Denmark's best actors including Sophie Grabel, Lars Mikkelsen and many, many others. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait until September to find out who the murderer is.
