Byrd and Feathers

Brad Byrd
I'm not going to lie to you; I have an embarrassing little secret. Don't tell anyone but I like to hang out at myspace. In fact, I'm there so often these days that I'm beginning to think that I need an intervention. Is there a "myspace anonymous" in the works yet?

I love myspace but what music lover doesn't, really. Some songs you listen to once or ...

Denmark's Power Princess

To all of you royal watchers out there, or anyone who hasn't heard the happy news already, earlier this week our Crown Prince Frederik and his Australian born Princess Mary gave birth to a healthy, little baby girl. Mom and baby are doing well, apparently.

The little bundle of joy weighs in at 3350 gram (7.5 pounds) and is 50 centimeters (20 inches) long.  Simply known as "The Little Girl," her official name has not ...

Strike at Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen

I sure hope that you don't have a flight in or out of Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen today. If you do you'll probably be playing the waiting game. 10,000 SAS airline customers are affected by the airline flight attendant's strike that started yesterday and continues today.

Chaos is the name of the game at Kastrup Airport where 400 passengers had to sleep over at the airport because there simply aren't enough available ...

Booze and Boobs Don't Mix

Ever since I heard about pretty, pop princess Kylie Minogue's battle with breast cancer, I've been trying to avoid anything and everything which could increase the chances of being struck with the dreadful disease. Instead, I've been eating right, exercising, getting examinations etc.

I read some good news from a recent U.S. study that proved that abortions and miscarriages do not raise the risk of breast cancer, contrary to popular belief. But according ...

Don't Forget Your Gun Honey

Yes, it won't be long before we're sending our children off to school, all bundled up in their Monday's best, with lunchbox in hand; pencils and papers in tow, and let's not forget, a gun. What's next, weapons training on the curriculum?

According to reports, if gun advocates get their way, "The Virginia Tech tragedy that occurred last week could actually boost a year long effort in Virginia to pass legislation allowing students to carry ...

Happy Earth Day

Started way back in 1970, Earth Day was established to encourage a revolt against environmental abuse. Of course, it hasn't been until recent years that most people, including myself took the concept of global warming too seriously. I guess, I was just too wrapped up in my own little world to really think about it, or care.

The majority of people today would agree that global warming is an important issue and progressing ...

Driving for Dollars in Copenhagen

I'm off to Thailand in a few weeks and am really looking forward to it. The plan is to enjoy the sun, do a story on "Life after the Tsunami," visit schools to see what activities educators implemented to help the kids deal with the aftermath of the Tsunami. Oh ya, and how could I forget the best part, visit the dentist.

Anyhow, I just read about a fella who came up with a ...

Cho's Demons

He was a "pig and deserved to die," said one frustrated family member in reference to the infamous Virginia Tech Murderer. He was an "idiot," said another angrily. This so-called "cold blooded killer" of 32 innocent people has been labelled as "pure evil."

It is easy to assume that someone who committed such a horrendous crime is all of these things and the prevailing question on everyone's minds these days is "why did this ...

Virginia Tech Shootings

Like the rest of the world, I've been following the Virginia killings story and my heart goes out to the victims and families who were involved in this senseless tragedy. So, when I hear comments like "well, all the students should carry guns to school to protect themselves," I think, What? Is that not the most absurd thing you've ever heard?

I just read that a third of all the guns in the ...

Fake and Famous Phonies in Copenhagen

Well, fake in the sense that they aren't real but the waxy sort. Ofcourse, I'm talking about Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum.  Located beside Tivoli Gardens, this famous museum has been going strong in Copenhagen since 1974. Filled with celebrities, royalty and politicians from around the world, visiting this museum provides a fun way of seeing our famous friends up close and personal.

The planning and work that goes into these unique ...
