Missing Cape Verde
Well, I arrived back from the Island of Sal in Cape Verde late last night and I'm not going to lie, I'm not happy about it. Yes the internet connection was unpredictable and a little slow on the Island of Sal but hey it'd give me an excuse to head to the beach, stroll along the golden beaches and stare in awe at the daredevil kitesurfers. I love just about everything about Cape Verde - the people, the weather, the lifestyle, the music, the food. I just love it and want more of it!
I'm kind of bummed out to be honest for a variety of reasons. First of all going from 27 degrees to 0 degrees isn't putting a smile on my face. I know these blogs are suppose to be upbeat but I really didn't want to leave Cape Verde. To top it all off, my suitcase won't open! There is something amiss with the lock. I can hear my mobile phone ringing from within but can't answer it. So for all of the thieves of the world out there if you can advise me on how to break into a suitcase without ruining it please, please let me know. I don't want to bash the suitcase brand so I won't name it here but I'll give you a hint it begins with an "S".
I have some photos I could upload but guess what, my camera battery is you guessed it, trapped in my suitcase! Let's see, what else can I complain about. I've gone from eating delicious fish, fruits and vegetables to eating M & M's for breakfast because I have yet to buy groceries. Anyhow, I'll post later when things are looking a little brighter. Maybe I'll be seeing the cup as "half full" so to speak after a warm cup of joe, that usually helps.
