Michael Jackson in Copenhagen

If you haven't already had enough Michael Jackson overload, then like it or lump it, there is more to come. I know some people are growing weary of the nonstop coverage, but not this fan. I've always loved Michael Jackson.

When I first saw the music video "Thriller," I thought, "Wow, look at that guy - the dancing, the singing, the cool clothes!" Then I purchased Thriller on cassette (now I'm ...

Red Light District

Well, summer has finally arrived and most people around here are thrilled to bits. No more heavy jackets, scarves and clunky boots. I'm enjoying my extended time here in south eastern Ontario, despite a few strange experiences. The weirdest to date, was that I was accused of being a "Jezebel" or "Lady of the Night," even though the incident occurred in broad daylight.

It all started, when I was waiting for ...

Steve Piticco in Denmark

Before it slips my sieve of a mind, I must mention that Denmark will once again be blessed with the presence of world-renowned guitar picker, Steve Piticco. Steve, who was originally from Toronto and now resides in south-eastern Ontario, happens to be one fantastic guitar player. He has won myriads of awards, but more than that, he's a kind, generous and caring person. Can you tell I'm a huge fan?

You ...

Treasure Hunting in Copenhagen

Well, I hope everyone is geared up for an exciting weekend ahead. Mine will be, I hope. It'll be a nice mix of work and play. In fact, I'm planning on making this summer "fun, fun, fun until my family takes my Ford Ranger away."

That reminds me, I'm thinking that the red, rockin' ranger will definitely need a new muffler soon. My brother told me it's sounding louder. But I choose to ...

Get a Tremolo Beer Gut

Have you ever wished for, but never received a beer gut? Hmm..probably not, but you might be interested in the beer gut of which I speak. If you are in Copenhagen tonight and looking for quality entertainment at a quality price, why not check out the surf band known as "Tremolo Beer Gut."

They will be performing on the house, yes that's free of charge, at the rock bar "Drone" on ...

Where Have the Manners Gone?

What an exciting week it was. Fun times are all around if you open yourself up to them, and I have decided to make this summer vacationing in Ontario fun, by heading out on a series of mini-excursions, to here, there and everywhere. Last week, I started this little adventure streak by taking the train up to Toronto to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play baseball against the California Angels. They didn't ...

The Copenhagen Carnival

I just found out that I have the entire month of July free and as far as I can see, I'll be spending most of it in Ontario. Next week, I'm going to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays play. No, I'm not driving the truck, but rather have chosen the ease and comfort of the train. Hmm...that's kind of what I miss about Copenhagen right now, riding about in ...

Dalai Lama in Copenhagen

Dalia Lama

Tibet's Dalai Lama will be landing in Denmark at the end of this month. He'll be giving lectures on the 30th and 31st of May. The speeches will be on "Mindfulness Based On Love And Compassion" and "Peace through inner Peace." How cool is that? These lectures seem like something I could really use right now, too bad I won't be there at that time...rats.

Instead, ...

Run with the Royals

I was just reading an inspirational, Forrest Gump type story about a woman who ran around the world for cancer. She lost her husband last year to prostate cancer. This inspired her to circle the earth raising funds for the deadly disease.

As I mentioned earlier, our family recently lost our father to cancer, pancreatic cancer to be specific. We chose to take care of him at home, which was a heart ...

The Royal Cast Collection

Visit historical Greece without leaving Copenhagen. See the Venus de Milo, better known as the Greek Goddess of love and beauty; Michelangelo's David - biblical King David; Centaurs - half human, half horse statue, and the Roman emperors, also known as the rulers of Rome. The collection contains casts of some of the most important sculptures in the world, and range in ages from 2500 B.C. until 1600 A.C.

Vestindisk Pakhus  (on the ...
