The Neubaugasse Flea Market returns this Friday and Saturday, May 30-31, from about 10am-6:30pm. Numerous vendors will line several kilometers of the Neubaugasse and will be hawking antiques, cheap clothing, and street festival food. The old-fashioned hand-crank coffee grinders, retro uniform pieces, craft supplies, and inexpensive Asian imports are particularly desirable finds. Many Neubaugasse shops will also have sidewalk sales offering good bargains on new clothes, housewares, etc. As for food, the spiral cut french fries available from the street vendors and the cakes and muffins at Elliefant are excellent and re-energizing. A good starting point to hit the market is the intersection of Neubaugasse and Mariahilferstrasse. To get there, take the U3 metro line to Neubaugasse. Arrive early for the best selection.
