Rollerblading/In-Line Skating Along Vienna's Danube River

The paved recreation paths along the New Danube River provide a smooth and scenic surface for rollerblading/in-line skating, biking, walking or jogging. In addition to exercisers, the paths are also home to numerous flowering cherry trees and other eye-catching foliage. Conveniently located ice cream vendors, refreshing river breezes, and fields of lush green grass make pit stops enjoyable as well. To get to a particularly scenic and smooth route, take the U6 metro line to the Neue Donau station. Take the pedestrian bridge across the river to the bank that has a large restaurant near the bridge. Follow the paved path under the pedestrian bridge and away from the restaurant.
