1516 Pub Has Vienna's Best Burgers

1516 is beer-and-burger heaven.
At 1516, the burgers are large and juicy and the beer is refreshing and flavorful. Each 1516 burger is made of quality beef and is served with a side of zesty mayonaise sauce and an ample portion of crispy thin french fries. A full bottle of Heinz ketchup sits on each table, ready for unlimited no-extra-charge use. The doneness of the burger is best left to the 1516 cooks. The menu states that the staff takes no responsibilty for items ordered well-done. While this statement is ambiguous, I find it best to go with the flow. Each standard 1516 burger I have eaten has been delicious and better than any others elsewhere in Vienna. I like to think making a 1516 burger is much like sculpting a masterpiece. Maybe the creator needs to let the quality ingredients guide him or her.
The beer on tap at 1516 is also noteworthy. In addition to the satisfying house lager, the beverage menu includes house-brewed beer from award-winning recipes. Try the Yakima Stout, made from American Washington-State-area ingredients, or the New Zealand India Pale Ale. 1516 has a popular, lively pub atmosphere in the evenings and a great location in Vienna's first district (inside the Ring near the Musikverein). The staff usually approaches you in English, but most speak German as well. For more information, visit www.1516brewingcompany.com.
