The English-speaking community at Vienna's Votivkirche offers several Catholic Masses during Holy Week. On Holy Thursday, Mar. 20, a Mass will be held at 7pm in a small church called the Seminarykirche located at Boltzmanngasse 7. The Good Friday service on Mar. 21 will take place at the Votivkirche at 7pm. An Easter Vigil will also be held this year on Saturday, Mar. 22, at 10pm at the Votivkirche. On Easter Sunday, Mar. 23, Mass will be at 11am at the Votivkirche. The English community's priest, Father Kevin, tries to make all visitors feel welcome.

In addition to celebrating Holy Week, attending a mass in the Votivkirche provides an excellent opportunity to see one of Vienna’s grandest stone cathedrals. The church was built in 1853 to celebrate a failed assassination attempt on Austria's Emporer Franz Joseph. To get there, take the U2 metro or trams 1 or 2 to Schottentor station. The church, located at Rooseveltplatz 8, is visible from outside the station.
