Hundreds of hand-decorated eggs are for sale.

Last weekend, Vienna's cherished Easter markets opened for the days leading up to Easter. One of the most impressive markets can be found at the Schönbrunn Palace, where visitors can shop for unique handmade toys, decorations and food items. Similar to the famed Schönbrunn Christmas Market but smaller in scale, the Easter market consists of several rustic market stalls selling quaint seasonal items like hand-painted Easter egg decorations, handmade soaps, jewelry made from pieces of animal horn, Spring animal toys, and food and drink delicacies like crepes. There is also a comprehensive schedule of entertainment on hand, including jazz Mar. 16, 22, 23, and 24 from 11am-1pm, a marzipan Easter bunny workshop for children every day from noon-5pm (€4.60), and an Imperial Easter Egg Hunt on Mar. 22 from 10am-5pm (free). The market will be up until Mar. 24 and is open from 10am-6:30pm daily. To get there, take the U4 metro line to the Schönbrunn station. For more information, visit http://www.eastermarket.at/
