Dancing & Drinks at Bricks in Vienna

Dozens file into Bricks on a Saturday night.
When looking for a hot night spot in Vienna, check out Bricks for energetic dancing and great drink specials. Happy Hour goes from 8-10pm, when about 10 different cocktails are available for under €5. This past weekend, Caipharinas were only €3.40 and sold out by midnight. A peak at the full printed menu reveals some amusing typos in the English translations, but the specials are advertised on chalk boards hanging from the walls.
Despite Bricks advertising itself as a "lazy dance bar," the dance floor is hopping. However, it's a young crowd that is usually busting a move. It's not unusual to see small groups of gender-segregated dancers who could still be in high school. Nevertheless, the DJ spins songs that get people moving and the overall experience is enjoyable. The interior of the club is hot, crowded, and smoky as in most clubs, so dress accordingly. There is no cover charge, but be prepared to show a photo ID. For more information, visit www.bricks.co.at.
