Tasty Nepalese Cuisine at Yak & Yeti in Vienna

The traditional national dishes offer variety and value.
The Yak + Yeti Nepalese restaurant offers a fun ethnic atmosphere and deliciously prepared meals similar in flavor and style to Indian food, but with their own special flair. Playful paintings, such as the one depicting a male hiker or traveler (possibly Yak + Yeti's head chef) with a yeti (like the abominable snowman), and great black-and-white photos of Nepal hang on the walls in the dining area. Soothing Nepalese music plays in the background and diners can even request to sit in the back room at low tables with floor cushions.
If stuck on what to order, the traditional national dishes are exceptional and offer samplings of numerous specialties at a great value. One such dish, Dal Bhaat, is featured on Tuesday evenings for €10 as the only dish available that night. The dish arrives as an array of rice, lentils, and assorted vegetables and spices, either vegetarian or with meat, and diners can request more of any item they wish at no extra cost. As for beverages, the mango lassis are a must-have and can be prepared a few different ways as described on the menu. The friendly wait staff speaks English and will be happy to answer any questions.
