At the Gürtelbräu, the beer pretzels (Bier Brez'n) are baked fresh-to-order and are an absolute delight to eat. The generously-sized pretzel costs less than €2 and arrives hot, fresh out of the oven. The outer shell is lightly crispy and dusted with a sprinkling of salt and caraway seeds. The inside is chewy and delicious. Paired with one of the Gürtelbräu's large draft beers, the pretzel is the perfect afternoon or evening snack. Ordering the pretzel will require some patience, since it is made fresh, but it is worth the wait. Also, mustard (Senf) does not automatically come with it, so be sure to order it as a side if it would enhance your pretzel experience.
