Vienna's Christ Church Bazaar This Sat.

The Christ Church in Vienna hosts its annual Christmas bazaar and flea market tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 1., from 10:30am - 4:30pm. Highlights of the market include various second hand items, including books, toys, and clothes as well as an array of new UK seasonal items like holiday decorations and Christmas crackers.

Christmas crackers are paper cylinders, twisted at each end, that are filled with candy or small cheap toy prizes. It is British hoiday tradition to open them by having a person pull each end of the cylinder, which creates a "snap" noise as it breaks open. Opinions vary as to who gets to keep the contents of the cylinder. Some say it goes to the person who pulls off the bigger half, and others say it goes to the owner of the cylinder.

Admission is free and the bazaar will also feature a Scottish dancing demonstration and choir performance. There will also be vendors selling European, Asian, African, and English foods and beverages.
