Bobby's British Imports Food Store
When looking for cooking ingredients common in Great Britain and America, but not Austria, head to Bobby's British Imports Food Shop near Vienna's Naschmarkt. An antique suit of armor in the display window greets customers as they enter Bobby's, which stocks soft brown sugar, PG Tipps English tea, ready-made pie crusts, pancake syrup, poultry stuffing mix, canned root beer soda, American peanut butter, and Campbell's soup. The store also has a small cereal section, refrigerated cheeses, cake mixes, imported beer, and a large array of condiments and sauces. The helpful bilingual (English and German) staff also makes for a pleasant shopping experience. In addition to food, the store now offers a "Take A Book; Leave A Book" bin where anyone can drop off unwanted English books to share with others or pick up something to read for free. Job postings and organization announcements for native English speakers are also a regular fixture at the store. Just look on the wall by the entrance door to see what is available.
