The Hotel Goldener Baer provides reasonably priced rooms conveniently located a few minutes walking distance from the Stephansdom city center. For a single or double occupancy room, prices are around €50 per person. The aged interior and decor add an antique feel to the 3-star hotel while the high ceilings in the rooms create a dignified spaciousness.
A free continental breakfast of müsli and rolls with various spreads (cheese, Nutella, jam), as well as coffee and juice, is also available. The only drawback during my stay was that the linens and bedsprings were a bit worn. The hotel is pleasant and convenient overall.
