Eat Cheap as God looks on!

Fear not, one shall not be dining under the same roof as the great creator; one will merely be eating on a Sunday. That is, of course, if one wishes to eat cheap! For every Sunday at the 'Trois Amigos' Mexican Restaurant in Montreal's downtown region, the 49c Taco comes out to play.

At such pre-hisoric pricers, one would be wise to question the integrity of the product- "is that really chicken ...

Restaurant Pho Viet

Hankering for something a little off the beaten path? Walking into Pho Viet is like walking into a friend's living room, sparkling smiles and laughter, corner tables full of familiar faces, and a friendly welcome as you weave your way to your table.Something about the ambiance invites a relaxed feeling, and the servers flitting around don't break this bubble of "chill". I believe their exact words were, 'you'll never blog in this domain again', or something to that effect).

This blog is about all things Montreal. For those of you that ...

bottega, montreal
Despite its stylish and sleek interior, what Bottega strives for is authentic Italian cuisine with a rustic flair. The menu isn't ...

What to do on a winter's day in Montreal's Plateau

Take a walk.
You get a real sense of what the Plateau is all about by putting your sneakers to the ground. Or in this case, the ice. Start at St-Catherine and St-Laurent, making your way north. You'll encounter boutiques, restaurants, schools, parks, bakeries, butchers, book shops, banks, drugstores, vegetable vendors, peep shows, jewelry stores. Turn right on Rachel and pass St-Denis on your way to Parc Lafontaine. A winter ...
