OMG - Garlic Cheese Bread to die for!
Mon Village is a little (okay, a LOT) of the beaten track, but if you're looking for a drive in the country or on your way to or from the Ottawa region it's well worth the stop.
The atmosphere is casual and the menu varied. I ate an extra order of the world's best garlic cheese bread so I opted for a salad-only as main course. I needed, of course, to save room for the chocolate cake for dessert.
This place rocks, and as soon as I can save up the gas money, I'll be heading out there again.
It's just off A40 West at the St Lazare exit, a few minutes west of the Island of Montreal. (about 35 minutes from downtown if there is no traffic)
