Saint Sulpice: A Montreal bar with a gorgeous terrace!
Saint Sulpice is a fabulous bar for its atmosphere, particularly thanks to its grande terrace; it actually has the biggest terrace in Montreal. It has become like a second home to many francophones since it is in such close proximity to french universities; the bar is typically filled with a young crowd of students. You can feel a fun, casual aura as you walk in.
Beer isn't super expensive, but it's not the cheapest you could find. This place is awesome if you're going somewhere with a group of friends with many different tastes in music because each of the four floors in the old renovated house has a different theme - from disco to jazz to pop/rock, everyone can find some satisfaction.
There are pool tables, pub food available and couches to lounge on. There isn't a dress code and everything about the bar is extremely chill and welcoming.
By the time summer comes around, everyone in the montreal area should see Saint Sulpice's magnificent outdoor terrace at least once. Sitting under the stars with little christmas lights glowing all around you is just so soothing and sets a great mood.
