Green Café Pleasure

Look. Feel. Smell. Taste. Touch.

This is no ordinary coffeeshop. This is an award-winning designed coffeeshop that will appeal to your senses like no other. A finely crafted eyecandy shop that will have you sit there, sipping on your tea for hours. Green Café can be found at two locations, one on Viger in the Old Port and the other at Marché Central in Ahuntsic (north of Montreal, across the Rockland Center Mall).

The Viger location is as posh and as worthy to win over any passing patron who gawk at its lustrous green interior. Indeed, this is a café that cannot be missed for its sheer beauty is the result of what modern designers are doing to our multicultural city. It's white glistening slick interiors make way to an array of healthy choice sandwiches, foccacias, omelettes, soups and desserts. It also offers an array of teas and homemade raspberry brownies.

Inside lies a long high bar table, its green glass surface glows, and stylish white bar chairs flock either side. Further inside is a little corner with curtains that can be drawn for privacy with a funky 4 different sized lamp light. All is polished off with a pristine plasma screen playing healthy looking videos, enticing their patrons for more delicacies. The whole is embedded in strategically placed mirrors, making the coffeeshop seem bigger and the black wall backdrop houses a single white flower vase.

Green Cafe is the winner of the 2006 Commercial Design award, given by Créativité Montréal (a design and architecture publication).

So feel free to surf their website, and if you're in the area, have a peek, have some coffee, and you MUST try their homemade brownie, it's out of this world.
