Montreal dining- inexpensive eats- Le Toaster
A well kept plateau secret, Le Toaster serves succulent breakfasts in a warm and cosy environment. The restaurant attracts all sorts of customers: bohemian types, young mothers with their toddlers and men in pinstripe suits. The plate is set in front of you by a most charming waiter. The paper thin, crispy lean bacon and the thick fluffy brown bread were greatly appreciated by yours truly.
I spotted the arrival of a healthy breakfast at the table next to mine and the woman most graciously allowed me to take a photo of her food. Of course I had given up my booth, so she could lay her toddler on it; a fair trade. The mounds of colorful fruit were quite inspiring.
All in all the food was good (I must highlight the bacon and brown toast once more), the coffee comes with refills, the decor very bright and the music quite happy.
