Thousand of people will be out this week celebrating Pride Week in Toronto. It is one of the biggest celebrations in the world. Come out and join the fun. There will be two huge parades at the end of the week that should not be missed. They are definitely the highlight of the entire weeks activities. Pride week has become a cultural and artistic community affair.

TD Canada Trust Downtown Jazz Festival June 20-29

Luminato Opening Night in Toronto June 6

Tonight kicks off Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity. At Yonge Dundas Square there will be great music and dance . There will be dance lessons and then great music. It's a fantastic free event!

Tonight begins the opening weekend festivities of Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity. This festival last 9 days and is filled with music, art, theatre, literature and dance. Last year there were over 100 exhibits and over a dozen premieres and this year promises to be even more spectacular. There are just too many things to write about! Toronto is the perfect backdrop to this fantastic, illuminating event. Check out their website for a complete list of events. There are tons of free events available to entertain the entire family.

Doors Open Toronto May 24-25

This is a once a year event where visitors are allowed to visit some Toronto's architectural and/historical buildings. This is a great opportunity since some of these buildings are not normally open to the public. It's a free event perfect for a weekend when you want to tour 150 different locations throughout Toronto at a leisurely pace and enjoy some of it's beautiful sites. All locations will have guided tours, exhibits and activities.

This is my all time favourite show! There are hundreds of food samples and a great opportunity to try new products before they hit the market. There will be over 150 different cooking lessons and demonstrations. My favourite hosts of the Canadian Living kitchen will be on hand to give tips in the kitchen and recipes to make our lives easier. There will also be fabulous deals that are only available at the show.
