Not sure if you have noticed but the number of Indo Chinese restaurants in the GTA has been increasing steadily.

Near Toronto International Airport, you will find at least 4 such restaurants in a 5 kilometer radius.

These restaurants are a melting pot for Chinese and Indian Flavors.

Spacco Restaurant and Bar

Spacco - frontLiving in the Yonge and Eglinton area, I have an endless choice of restaurants and boutiques to go too. Not so much in the way of nightlife. I find Yonge and Eg to be a vibrant part of Toronto and with so many young people living in the 'hood, it would be nice to have a few options to drink and ...

Fran’s: A Toronto Tradition Since 1940

If you’re in town and looking for a good, cheap, satisfying meal, head to one of Fran’s two downtown locations. Named after the original owner, Fran’s has been operating in Toronto since 1940, and in all that time, the quality of their fare has remained high, while the prices have stayed low. The 100 Victoria St. location, directly opposite the famous Massey Hall, is always full after ...

Local 4 a Local Favourite

One of our favourite nearby eateries is the Local 4, an intimate, cozy little restaurant/pub just off of Younge St., near the Wellesley intersection. Named for it’s street number, 4 Dundonald, it can be found in a little white house with a small patio out front, covered in greenery during the summer months. Inside, the lightening is low and subdued, music eclectic but unobtrusive, and a reasonably priced ...

Big Daddy's

I went to Big Daddy's last night for a retirement party. It is located on King Street West, close to the financial and entertainment districts.

It had a fun atmosphere and the presentation of the food was perfect. There was obviously a lot of seafood on the menu, it is an oyster bar after all. But there were also options for people not interested in seafood. There was pasta, chicken and ...

Dynasty Chinese Cuisine: the Genuine Article in an Elegant Environment

Dynasty Chinese Cuisine

Ethnic food restaurants which cater to the desires of the local population abound in Canada, especially when it comes to Chinese food. As a result, ‘Canadian Chinese food,’ with its uniformity and saltiness is considered Chinese cuisine to the ignorant and indifferent. I am fortunate enough to live in Toronto, where genuine Chinese food is not hard to ...

Rex Saigon Thai Viet Buffet Restaurant in Toronto

I recently discovered this restaurant and can't get enough of it. If you are an adventurous eater than this is the place for you. It has so many food choices that even after my 5th time, I still have not tried everything on the menu. It is a great mix of Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporian, Japanese and Chinese food. Each item has its own unique flavour so your palate never ...

Go For Tea in Toronto

One of my more interesting and favourite places to hang out with friends is Go For Tea in Richmond Hill. The ambience is hip and trendy and attracts a young asian crowd. It's quite busy during the weekends when you want to hang out after dinner or the movies.

Their menu is Taiwanese Chinese food but what attracts the crowds is their extensive drink menu with many exotic flavours to choose from. My favourite is the honeydew ...
