Frankie Tomatto's - Italian Buffet - Toronto

We recently visited Frankie Tomatto's for dinner. It's a great family restaurant that serves Italian food buffet style. The food is pretty good and the selection is impressive. My favourite thing there is the fried calamari. They also have pizza, pasta, veal and eggplant parmesan, rice pilaf, baked salmon, smoked ham, potato rosti and mussels. That is just a taste. There is much more available. The dessert ...

Lunch at Skyland de Shanghai - Toronto

We had lunch at Skyland de Shanghai in Toronto today. It's Northern Chinese Food...Shanghainese Chinese Food. I thought it was interesting that they had a glass enclosed area where you could watch them make their noodles. Noodles made right before our very eyes. I thought that was the most interesting part of our lunch. I had never had fresh noodles before. They were firm and thick. ...

Spicy Dragon - Toronto - Hakka Chinese Food

Spicy Dragon (Kennedy and Lawrence in Scarborough) is a new restaurant featuring Hakka Chinese Food. It has a very small dining room of only seven tables. The majority of business seems to be take-out. We ordered my favourite Hakka Chinese dishes just to be able to make a comparison and I have to say that it is pretty good. My favourite was the Chili Chicken. I love ...

Perfect Chinese Restaurant - Toronto

We had breakfast at the Perfect Chinese Restaurant yesterday. It's a nice change from a bagel and coffee or bacon and eggs. What makes Perfect Chinese Restaurant so special is that it offers dimsum 24 hours a day. It's more expensive when ordering dimsum off the menu which is from 4pm to 8am.  During dimsum hours it's a set price/dish of $1.50 whereas some restaurants ...

Spring Rolls - Fairview Mall, Toronto

Spring Rolls, Fairview Mallronto. Spring Rolls recently opened another restaurant at Fairview Mall in Toronto. It's a fusion of Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. This restaurant is gorgeous. Walking in I was taken aback with it's decor. Modern and trendy...a happening place to be. The menu has a wide range of dishes to meet everyone's tastes. I love that most dishes you can choose from ...

Red Bean Pancake

One of my absolute favourite places to eat is Asian Legend. There are various locations in Toronto so you are never too far to go for some yummy food. Northern Chinese food tends to be spicy but they do have a great selection for everyone. They have some great desserts too. I love red bean so it's heaven! ...

I find Yonge and Eg to be a vibrant part of Toronto and with so many young people living in the 'hood, it would be nice to have a few options to drink and ...
