Toronto's Canada's Wonderland has been a cornerstone for young and old alike since the gates opened on May 23rd 1981. Now 26 years later Wonderland has become a 330 acre playground consisting of more than 220 attractions for kids of all ages to take in from May to October of every year. Within the 330 acres of various activities, Wonderland has eight themed areas including a 20 acre water park called Splash Works. The giant land of water has over 2 million gallons of heated water, the largest wave pool measuring 36,000 square feet, a lazy river and more than 15 water slides.

Wonderland really does bring the kid out of you. The inner child comes out to play as soon as you step through the gates of Toronto's favorite summer playpen. I remember visiting the park few years ago right after my 27th birthday. The enjoyment of going on the rides that I haven't ridden on for more than a decade was unexplainable. Old moments of years gone by came rushing back as we twisted and turned, raced down the hills and walked around familiar land.

As of June 2007, Wonderland opened three new eating areas including a fully covered picnic area, an international food buffet and a new venue called Coasters. The park also introduced a birthday package for kids at Nick Central and three new Broadway shows.
