Honest Ed's - The Ultimate Bargain Shopping Experience in Toronto

I haven't been to Honest Ed's in a couple of years but I'm sure it's still the has the best bargains in town. You can't miss Honest Ed's because it's the flashiest gawdiest building on the block. I remember when I was a little girl and my mom used to drag us down there once or twice a year to pick up back to school stuff or do some last minute Christmas shopping.

The prices are ...

Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum - Great fun for the everyone!

I took my kids to the ROM this weekend. I haven't been there in twenty years...not since I was a student and I couldn't believe the improvements they've made to their exhibits.

They have a wonderful Hands-On Gallery for the young ones that included a dinosaur dig, medieval costumes, and lots of things for the kids to touch and feel. The kids especially loved the walk-in bat cave...a bit scary for me...I'm ...

Oscar weekend in Toronto

Now that the spotlight has been taken off Britney Spears, her drug use, breakdown and bald head, Hollywood has returned it's focus to the Oscars. Stop by the Drake Hotel anytime this weekend for a series of Oscar inspired celebration. ...

This movie-lovers Mecca is tucked away behind a glasses store and a Tim Horton's near the corner of Bay and Bloor streets. Well-known to the many students and locals who live in the area, it's not typically a place on the Toronto tourists got-to-go list, but should be there if you're on the lookout for any movie that is foreign, rare, or difficult to find. The rental collection ...

Most Torontonians have been to Harbourfront Centre and continue to make visits to this lovely little oasis of culture at least one a year. As the name itself might suggest, the centre is located right beside the Lake Ontario, about a ten-minute walk from the Union Station.

The centre features numerous attractions, from performance art, musical performances (this month, check out blues singer Bill Bourne in concert with special guest Madagascar ...

Soul Pepper

55 mill Street is my favorite part of Toronto. It has been restored in the past 5 years to resemble what it may have been 100 years ago. No cars and lots of nice little bars. Art galleries and the Younge Center for the arts. A perfect place to spend the afternoon with the family. Walk the streets and look at the architecture. Dip ...
