Karaoke on a Sunday Night, The Rivoli 334 Queen St. W.
Its among the most convenient downtown spots on a Sunday for an impromtu pint and a little liquid courage. If you conquer stage fright to sing your heart out, the rules are simple. Pick your tune either by artist or by title and pass it to the emcee, Carson Foster (he's the dude in the leather pants). If it's your first time, you are guaranteed your five minutes in the spotlight. "Kick Ass Karaoke" virgins are encouraged, and always fun to listen, or cringe to.
Look for young office workers, devoted KAK regulars, a couple tourists and trendy queen street people all mashed together in song. A full menu of nacho-and-wings type cuisine is also available if you fancy and is complimented by several well-lit and rip-free pool tables. The unobstructed view of the stage lets you keep a buffer zone from the tone deaf musings of people like me.
No Cover.
Gets busy around 10pm.
fun even if you don't have the courage.
