Located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, just one block from Parliament Hill, is the Rideau Centre; Ottawa's premier destination for high name fashions. Besides housing over 180 shops and services, there is also a cinema, three restaurants and 1,590 parking spaces available for your convenience. Easily accessible by bus or by foot, and slightly more confusing by car (it can be done- follow signs carefully!), this is the shopping centre to visit if you are in the downtown area.
The Rideau Centre opened on March 16, 1983, and is just over 15 acres in area. The shopping centre is bounded by Colonel By Drive, Nicholas Street, Rideau Street and the Mackenzie King Bridge.
