Recently voted the best place in Canada to live by MoneySense magazine, Ottawa is indeed a wonderful place to live or visit. There were a number of criteria taken into consideration for Ottawa to win the title; including real estate, unemployment rates, disposable income, weather, crime rates and five other factors. Ottawa had to outrank 123 other Canadian cities with populations of 10,000 or more, and didn't do poorly in any category. Two other major cities in the top 10 include Halifax and Quebec City.
Having the world's longest skating rink, bountiful tulips in the spring, the beautiful Rideau Canal, the most extensive recreational bike path system in Canada, the ByWard market and many other attractions, Ottawa has it's share of benefits.
