Everything is 2 bucks at the Daiso

DaisoOne of my all-time favourite stores is the $2 store called the Daiso. It's located at the Aberdeen Centre in Richmond. It's fairly large with two floors of all types of plastic containers, decorations, ashtrays, plant pots, and dishes. Really, you can find all kinds of stuff there. I especially enjoy the craft area where you can buy yarn, clay, beads and ...

Urban Outfitters Opens in Vancouver

Who loves shopping? I do! So once a year my sister and I head to Washington state and go shopping. On the most recent visit I discovered Urban Outfitters - a large store filled with clothing, clothing, clothing, accessories, home furnishings, games and more clothes. Yesterday I was in downtown Vancouver for a short while and discovered Urban Outfitters had just opened on Granville Street (near Robson)!

However this quirky mall has a lot more to offer than just films.  On ...

The Public Market on Granville Island, Vancouver

hammock granville islandI bought a hammock in December on Granville Island - a thickly woven, brilliantly covered Brazilian hammock! This spot is one of the best places to visit in Vancouver because it has something for everyone: good eats, shopping, listening to jazz music, boat rides...and the culture is fascinating!

Famous Shopping in Vancouver

You must have heard of Vancouver's most popular place to shop ~ the ever famous ROBSON Street.  To me, it was always that place I heard stories of but very rarely got to visit myself.  The stories are true, if you are looking for a combination of entertainment, food, and good places to shop than Robson is the place for you.

Robson Street has some amazing places to shop from Aritzia, ...

Granville Island in the Spring

Granville Island hours of operation

I love Granville Island, but I usually only go once or twice a year in the summer - and that's when we have guests in from out of town to entertain. This week I had a meeting at Granville Island and it reminded me of the first time I came to Vancouver from Calgary. I think ...
